Role: Project Leader – LAMP

Job Description

• Architecture Design, Coding, Unit testing, and Implementation of Web applications. Mobile Application Experience highly desirable.

• Effort Estimation of Projects and tasks

• Identify application upgrade paths, opportunities for improving design, performance and code of existing applications, products. Improving maintenance and manageability of applications/Products

• Troubleshoot, provide technical solutions, and resolve errors in applications/products

• Interaction with clients for requirements, queries, status updates

• Develop an understanding of the latest technology in Web based Products and applications

• Communicate correctly with customers, development team and business analysts

• Lead and mentor a team of developers

• Documentation of project specifications

• Designing and implementing new procedures and guidelines to enhance productivity and quality.

• Providing inputs for periodic status report of projects to management

• Proactive communication on risks and corrective actions to be taken

• Follow and ensure the team follows all relevant processes including timesheet entry

Profile

• Professional Qualifications (Engineering or Computer Science/Application Graduate or a Post Graduate):

• 5-7 years of strong experience in web application development focused on LAMP (Linux Apache, MySQL and PHP platform & Ajax).

• Strong experience in web development using the following :

1. Open source technologies like PHP, Apache, Linux and MySQL.

2. Strong DB skills

3. Experience in JavaScript (jQuery, ExtJS).

4. XML & Web services

5. Streams and Network programming

6. IDEs & Debugging Tools (Netbeans/Eclipse)

7. MVC Architecture Frameworks – Preferably Zend Framework or CakePHP. Ability to build applications from scratch.

8. Installation, configuration & customisation of WordPress, Magento and / SugarCRM and their modules, extensions and plugins.

9. Security of database & applications

10. SVN or any standard version control software

11. Unit testing tools

12. Android

13. HTML 5, CSS3, Responsive Web Application development

• Knowledge of design patterns, codes and syntax with strong troubleshooting skills.

• Experience in mobile technologies in smart phones

Desirable

• Web designing capabilities including frameworks like bootstrap and usage of web designing tools will be added advantage

• ITIL V3 Foundation certification
