It’s your job to make sure that your resume stands out among the hundreds of others on the recruiters desk or inbox . The Resume you submit should be carefully customised to fit the specific position you are applying for. Avoid using any titles like “Resume” or “Curriculum Vitae” etc. Throughout the resume use same font which is easy to read. Be honest and avoid irrelevant information like interests or hobbies. As a fresher try to fit resume in maximum two pages. Be 100% absolutely sure that there are no spelling or grammatical errors. Ensure that the document displays well on a PC as well as on paper. The following are the essentials of an effective resume
Name/contact information – Make your name stand out with bold text, a larger font size and/or capital letters. List accurate address, phone numbers, and e-mail address etc.
Objective or summary– Briefly indicate how you see yourself succeeding in the desired position, meeting both company and personal objectives. Instead of an objective, you may add a summary of key skills . Be sure your objective aligns with the job description.
Education– List all educational qualification. You may write qualification, Name of the institute, University, year of passing and marks you scored. You may add a table or line up details .List details in reverse chronological order, with the most recent first.
Technical Skills – For the best results, subcategories technical skills and certifications. The following would be an appropriate set of subcategories for your Technical Skills Summary:

Programming / Language

Database applications
Project Details : Write a brief description about the project. If its group project include details like, team size, duration, your role and responsibilities.
Honors and/or Activities – Include extra-curricular activities, volunteer experiences or any recognition, honors and awards you have received.
Personal details – you may write details like, Age and Date of birth, gender, marital status, permanent address and contact numbers.
References– Include salutation, name, title and preferred contact method. Be sure to get permission from each reference before listing their name.
When you finish your resume have at least one other person review your resume.
